Buddhism
The rosary of Buddhism is also a kind of ritual instrument. Different rosaries of Buddhism are used for different martial arts. The number of beads is 108, which means that 108 kinds of troubles are broken, and 108 kinds of three defects are obtained. It is used as a figure to calculate the number when practicing Buddha. 108 tablets were taken as 100 counts.
According to legend, in the "Avocado Mandala Mantra" translated by Liang Chao, it is mentioned that it is the number of beads in Han Buddhism. The earliest record of the rosary originated from the Tang Dynasty Pure Land Taoist Master.
Orthodox church
The Orthodox rosary is called the “prayer rope”, and the Russian Orthodox Church also uses the rosary made of leather. Christianity is more serious about the wearing of the rosary, and it is usually not attached to the neck as a charm.
The origin may have come from the desert godfather of the 3rd and 5th centuries, Desert Fathers, using knotted ropes to count the number of prayers, usually prayers for Jesus. The rosary was invented in the 4th century by St. Anthony the Great or Coptic Orthodox founder Saint Pakhom.
